Developmental Editing
Looking at the bigger picture elements of your manuscript. We will analyse the key structures such as plot lines, character appearances and their development, story pacing and flow, repetitive language and phrases, maintaining your narrative voice, tense and genre expectations, highlighting inconsistencies and overall reader experience. OEE will offer suggestions and comments upon those aspects all the while keeping your voice at the heart of your story.
Line Editing
Analysing the structural elements of your manuscript sentence by sentence, looking at the language used, sentence structure, grammar and, punctuation. We will work with you and your style guide to hone your story at a structural level.
Proofreading
Is the final type of editing your manuscript should need. Proofreading should be completed after the final formatting elements have been applied to the manuscript, but can be completed before formatting if required. Proofreading will highlight any remaining issues that may have managed to slip through previous levels of editing, or have been created through the formatting process. This is a final polish to make your manuscript shine for readers.
